Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Founded by Chin diasporas living across the globe, the ICA focuses on
research, human rights documentation and reporting, healthcare, education, and humanitarian
programs for displaced persons from Myanmar.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and play a key role in managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate finance reports, and supporting the organization with financial planning.

Job description:

● Support project team with finance budgeting and monitoring (tracking expenses, monitoring overspending, finding cost savings).
● Preparing accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, year-end).
● Monitor process invoices and payments
● Assist with donor fund requests
● Allocate expenditures to correct budget codes
● Support management team with expenditure control
● Complete any other tasks assigned by the team
● Will be able to work under pressure

Qualification & Skills

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
● Experience with any accounting software (preferred).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative.
● Fluency in Chin and Burmese, with intermediate English
● Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is a plus.
