Internship Opportunity – Procurement & Logistics Intern

The Institute of Chin Affairs Inc. (ICA) is inviting graduates or fresh graduates to apply for an internship opportunity as a Procurement & Logistics Intern.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in procurement and logistics within the non-profit sector, while working closely with our Procurement & Logistics Manager and supporting day-to-day organizational operations.

Position Details

Duty Station Remote — Yangon- or Thailand-based candidates preferred; applicants from other locations are also welcome
Duration 3 months
Working Hours At least 10 hours per week

Reports To Procurement & Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Procurement & Logistics Manager with procurement and logistics documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Support the preparation, organization, and maintenance of procurement-related records.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and external parties through professional email correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize digital files using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive.
  • Support procurement and logistics activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Procurement & Logistics Manager or Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Burmese; knowledge of a Chin language is preferred.
  • Fresh graduate from any academic field; an interest in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management is an advantage.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and cloud-based file sharing.
  • Comfortable communicating professionally through email.
  • Candidates based in Yangon or Thailand are preferred, with the ability to travel if required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a flexible, remote working environment.
